Not only did the team at Bright, the Bristol-based event management company, sign up to the Caring in Bristol 20,000 steps challenge… they smashed it! As long-term supporters of Caring in Bristol’s work, they knew that the activity would raise vital funds to support our work. They also knew it would be a fun thing to do for the team to do together.

“We’re huge supporters of the vital work which Caring in Bristol do, and Bright have been Caring Corporate Partners for the last few years, but the #BristolCaresChallenge is an opportunity to get the team together and unite more actively for a cause we’re all passionate about. We were keen for this to be a group activity, which is why we did it a little early - and we’re glad we did as it was the perfect weather for it!”

They were also able to celebrate their achievement with their followers on social media and LinkedIn (see Instagram image above). This helped to involve them in their ongoing fundraising mission. Following the challenge, they said, “Last Friday, the sun came out as the team completed the Bristol Cares Challenge in aid of Caring in Bristol. We're over halfway to our donation target, so if you're feeling generous you can contribute via the link in our bio - all donations will be matched by Bright, so it'll go twice the distance.”

Caring values

Bright are a great example of putting the fun into fundraising. Their amazing efforts let others know why they support the work that we are doing at caring in Bristol. And like other organisations who have partnered with us through our Caring Corporates scheme, they are demonstrating their caring values by putting them into action.

Effective and impactful partnership

They raised £1,179.30 through the challenge which means their steps are helping Caring in Bristol to take more steps to push back against homelessness in Bristol. Strong partnerships like the one between Bright and Caring in Bristol are powering the changes that we all want to see – for a city where everyone has the safety, security, and dignity of a home.
