Latest News Adult Safeguarding Week 2025 From Robin Adlem, Youth Services Manager, and Safeguarding Lead for Caring in Bristol: This week, Caring in Bristol proudly marks Adult Safeguarding Week by reaffirming our commitment to ensuring the people supported by our prevention team can live safely, free from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Championing The Adult Safeguarding Week 2025 theme, “Prevention: Act Before Abuse,” reminds us of the vital importance of early action, recognising the signs, intervening swiftly, and championing safer cultures so that our charity and city are safe spaces for everyone, including those affected by homelessness. Trauma-Informed Safeguarding is central to our work. All our Staff, volunteers and trustees have training, and we actively encourage our teams to stay vigilant, share concerns quickly, and support one another in creating environments where trauma-informed, person-centred support is the norm. By working in partnership and putting co -production and lived experience at the heart of our approach, we help prevent harm before it happens and empower every voice to speak up. As Safeguarding Lead for Caring in Bristol, I invite everyone in our sector and city to join us in promoting prevention, partnership, and a culture where safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Let’s make Bristol a place where all adults thrive, and no one’s safety is overlooked. This City Can! Manage Cookie Preferences
