The conversations that we have around homelessness are important. They provide an opportunity to shift narratives, and raise awareness about the many solutions that make a difference to people facing or experiencing homelessness. Talking about our work in the media helps us to reach wider audiences, and helps them to understand the changes that we need to make to change the landscape for people experiencing homelessness, and create a better place to live for all of us, not just some of us.

2025

ITV Westcountry (December, 2025)

ITV Westcountry visited the project to see how preparations were progressing. One visit showed donations being sorted in our base, and another visited our set-up team the day before launching. They were in the process of getting goods and equipment into the Trinity Centre, decorating the space, and making sure it was ready for the launch.

We were also invited to take part in live broadcasts by the John Darvall show in BBC Radio Bristol. Across these two interviews, we explored the reasons why Caring at Christmas is needed, as well as some of the realities of homelessness and housing insecurity. Two of our amazing volunteers also shared their experience of volunteering in the project, and explored their motivations for volunteering - encouraging others to consider this life-changing activity.
