Latest Blog Going the extra mile - one hundred times! At Caring in Bristol, we know that homelessness is an issue that affects everyone in some way. It can’t be right that we live in a city where so many people face housing insecurity as well as experiencing homelessness. One of our youngest supporters, Nate, who is aged seven, agrees. After frequently seeing people who are rough sleeping in the city centre, he asked his mum if they could give them some money. He discussed this with his mum, saying, “We had a big chat about this and decided it would be a good idea to set-up a challenge and ask people to sponsor me so we can hopefully raise lots of money to help.” Nate was clear about how he wanted to help, and set his challenge, “I'm going to try and cycle 100 miles in 100 days for the charity, Caring in Bristol. I love my bike and I'm really hoping I can do this!” Inspirational The team here at Caring in Bristol always appreciate everyone who supports our work. It helps us to do more and create positive change in the city. We’re cheering Nate along in his challenge; his insight into the issue of homelessness, and determination to make a difference is an inspiration to us all. His mum tells us, "He's set the target of 100 miles but cycled eight yesterday and he's so motivated by the donations so far, I think there's every chance he may go further in that time. I'll keep you posted!" “Please sponsor me, if you can,” asks Nate.
