Latest News Volunteer Celebration Caring at Christmas depends on volunteers to operate. Our 2025 project was supported by 437 volunteers who did 855 shifts, clocking up 3,739 hours! This shines a light on the scale of the project, and the vital contribution of the volunteers. As January rolled to an end, and the Christmas decorations were safely packed away, our volunteers were invited to a celebration at the Trinity Centre, the venue used for Caring at Christmas. With food prepared by Shona of Emmeline, it was an opportunity for everyone to socialise, and share experiences of their involvement. Our Volunteer Manager, Amy Sinclair, said, "It was brilliant to come together to say a massive THANK YOU to some of our incredible Caring at Christmas Volunteers on the 29th January. All of the volunteers made Christmas what it was, a truly excellent week. We are, again, grateful to the Trinity Centre for hosting us and are looking forward to planning Christmas with everyone over the coming year." Thank you to Shona! It was also a chance to publicly thank Shona Graham, who coordinates the food and catering operations so smoothly. Amy presented her with flowers and gave thanks for all the work she does behind the scenes to make sure our guests, and volunteers, are fed with amazing food. Our trustee and volunteer leader thanks everyone for their incredible support. Time to socialise and share and compare experiences. Amy Sinclair expresses her gratitude after working on the project for the first time, explaining that it couldn't happen without the volunteers' huge efforts. Manage Cookie Preferences
